Lyncs is a Lancaster native who has blossomed in the welcoming and thriving music scene. Also known as Jackie Hynes to her friends, her long and diverse performance history, playing upright bass with the Hershey Symphonic Orchestra to playing bass guitar and opening up for Joan Jett and The Blackhearts, led her to pursue her own project. Her debut release, ‘The Safety EP’ is a fantastic collection of heartfelt and heartwarming lyrics that intermix acoustic and electronic genres in an unprecedented style.
After the release of two singles, “If You Just” and “Black Hole”, she received rave reviews from WXPN – “with a Lorde-esque rhythm to it, Hynes lays out the events that led to the collapse we hear of in “Black Hole”: the tension of recognizing that the solution to a crumbling relationship is to end it, but not wanting to be the one that walks away.”
Lyncs has transformed her sound from indie folk to electro-pop and has since been forging her own path to storytelling and finding what connects us all.
