Lancaster Pride Association is committed to creating and maintaining an environment in which all individuals are treated with respect and dignity.

All Volunteers are expected to perform their duties in compliance with this Code of Conduct and act honestly and ethically at all times. Everyone will be treated, and is expected to treat others, with fairness, respect and dignity.

Discrimination

Discrimination and all forms of harassment based on race, religion, color, gender, gender presentation, sexual orientation, national origin, ancestry, marital status, age, veteran status, disability, physical appearance, medical condition, citizenship, genetic information, or any other minority or marginalized characteristic.

Sexual Harassment

Lancaster Pride Association will not tolerate any form of sexual harassment.  We encourage all Volunteers who becomes aware of, or is subjected to, any occurrences of sexual harassment to immediately report the occurrence to the Executive Committee.

Anti Bullying and Violence

Lancaster Pride Association strictly prohibits bullying and violence, including any act of intimidation, threat, harassment, physical violence, verbal abuse, aggression or coercion against volunteers, employees, independent contractors, temporary workers, external consultants, and vendors, or the general public. We encourage all volunteers who becomes aware of, or is subjected to, any occurrences of bullying or violence to immediately report the occurrence to the Executive Committee.

Confidential Information

All Representatives of Lancaster Pride Association must maintain trade secrets and other confidential organization, festival and production information in strict confidence. This includes, but not limited to financial information, access to internal resources, and sharing of internal documents.

Media Communications

It is critical that we always remember that Lancaster Pride Association is dedicated to fostering inclusive communities and respectful dialog. This means that in all of our communications, especially with on social media platforms, and media organizations/representatives.   We must remain vigilant and avoid damaging our reputation with all members of the LGBTQIA+ community, business community, Local, State, and Federal Governments, and the general Public.

Lancaster Pride Association respects the rights of Volunteers to use social media platforms as a form of self-expression.  It is important that all Volunteers are aware of the implications of engaging in forms of social media and online conversations that reference Lancaster Pride Association and that our Volunteers recognize when Lancaster Pride Association might be held responsible for their behavior.

Only approved Volunteers are permitted to speak on behalf of Lancaster Pride Association online or to media organizations/representatives.   No Lancaster Pride Association that have not been approved and explicitly assigned media communication duties may speak to any media organizations/representatives.    Volunteers are also expected not to engage in communications that could reflect badly upon Lancaster Pride Association or any member of LGBTQIA+ communities we seek to uplift and support.

Volunteers may share content about Lancaster Pride Association on their personal social media platforms or those which they manage and/administer.   Volunteers may not create content for or about Lancaster Pride Association.   All public content for or about Lancaster Pride Association must be approved by the Director of Marketing, Head of Public Relations or their designated representative prior to release.

Misconduct

Any violation of breach of trust under the terms of this Code of Conduct may result in dismissal from all Lancaster Pride Assocation’s committees and roles.
